The crew arrived... finally! After much LA traffic, we got to La Vina de Lestonnac Retreat Center in Temecula around 4:30pm. It's warm, dry, and beautiful here with a lot of wildlife (coyotes, gofer snakes and bobcats are known to roam). Kids got their room assignments and put their luggage away. We met in the conference room first, set ground rules (buddy system, etc.) and are now enjoying dinner. There is quilting convention happening here at the same time, but we seem to be the larger crew. :) After dinner, we will discuss the scope of the whole week and focus on what we will learn and what we want to learn tomorrow.
